The Power of Community Knowledge in Education

As an education consultant with over forty years of experience in South Yorkshire schools, I have witnessed the incredible impact of community knowledge on students' learning. That's why I am thrilled to be a part of this innovative approach to unlocking community knowledge, utilizing AI technology and the expertise of professionals like myself. My journey in education began as a teacher, and throughout my career, I have also served as a principal and advisor to local authorities. As a principal, I had the privilege of leading a school that prioritized students' genuine creativity and was recognized by Ofsted as “outstanding”. This experience taught me the importance of creating a positive learning environment that encourages students to think outside the box and showcase their unique talents. Today, I am a speaker and associate at Independent Thinking Ltd., an award-winning independent publisher specializing in education, training, NLP, hypnosis, self-help, and personal development.

With my extensive experience in various types of demanding schools, I bring a wealth of wisdom to my work. In fact, some have even referred to me as “the Michael Macintyre of education” for my ability to engage and challenge audiences across the country. But my passion for education goes beyond my professional endeavors. I am also dedicated to sharing my knowledge and expertise with schools that are looking to improve their practices. This is why I often return to schools that have previously hired me, utilizing their valuable contributions and wisdom to further enhance my own understanding.
